As good as it gets. Rain all morning and I had scheduled work in for the morning followed by an afternoon on the beach. the sun came out the wind was still howling and I headed over at around 2pm.

It was perfect weather for my 4.5m with the wind around 30 knots, but my 4.5m has a hole in it and I didn't think there would be quite enough for my 4m so I rigged my 5m, put LOADS of downhaul on it and set ot on my little wave board. As usualt during the week there was no one around so I planned on taking it easy out there. However once on the water everything felt just perfect. I was well and truly powered up but with the sail having so much downhaul on that didn't seem to matter. the sail felt capable of spilling even the biggest gusts and I felt in complete control. I was able to go wherever I wanted and point so high upwind that I could virtually stop but still remain powered up and on the board.. Ideal for avoiding the big walls of white-water.

After about an hour of perfectly maxed out mad conditions I saw larry on the beach so went in to say hello and have a rest whilst he rigged up. We then both went out and the second round was as good as the first. Just as much wind, just as many waves and some really good sailing. I even went for two forward loops which was good as I haven't tried one for ages and thought I had lost the bottle. Both were pretty good too, I got all the way around and landed in the waterstart position.

Just perfect!.. More of the same tomorrow please!
